I think I clicked on this article for a few reasons, one being that I am very intrigued by American politics and the American government as a whole because it’s something that i’ve always been super interested in and I think with the events that are going on with the US Military currently (war with Iran) I was super intrigued to hear why the US military was deploying somewhere else in the world, but these are just personal reasons for why this specific article interested me.
When it comes to the actual structure of the headline, it is again a very digestible headline that tells me what is happening, who is doing, why they’re doing it and where it is happening and I honestly think that this is on purpose because I think outlets like CNN know that there a lot of people who will simply just read a headline without reading the content in the article so they try and fit the whole context of the story in the headline without making it too long and convoluted and I think that this article does that very effectively, I also think that there really isn’t much information to put in the headline because information is still very limited at this time so it makes it a lot easier to make a headline like that, and I think overall this headline does a great job catching the attention of the reader by using a short, straight to the point headline, that tells the reader exactly what is going on without making the headline too long and making it easy to read.
