This headline resonated with me due to the simplicity of the headline of the article and how it gets straight to the point without adding any unnecessary fluff and the fact that it gets straight to the point when it comes to what the content within the article, when I see that headline I know exactly what I’m going to see when I read the article and it’s intriguing because they make sure to make a point in the headline that there is credibility to the content in the article by including the end part that says “according to experts” this will give readers a real reason to click on the article because they know when they see that, that they are getting information that they can trust and that there is real information that will help the reader by reading the article.
The main goal when you make a headline is to build trust with the reader and to give them a real reason to read the article through credibility and an effective and easy to read headline and I think that this headline accomplishes both those things.
This headline goes for clarity over cleverness, keeping your headline clear is vital for making sure readers fully understand what you are trying to convey to them and the article also makes a promise to the reader with that promise being we are going to tell you both how and how often you should clean your mattress, a problem that a lot of people are going to interested in solving because a lot of people don’t know how to clean their mattress outside of just cleaning their sheets, blankets and pillowcases.
In conclusion, I think this headline is effective because it communicates value to the reader, gives them a problem that the article is going to solve, limits uncertainty in the reader and it triggers curiosity by including the fact that this content is backed up by experts and is trustworthy in its nature.
